Air Travel

With easy access from all major cities, the Reno/Tahoe Int'l Airport features 24-hour service with many cities having direct flights. Reno is approximately a 45-minute drive from Truckee and North Lake Tahoe via I-80 and 2.5 hours via Interstate 395 to the Mammoth Lakes area. It is serviced by Alaska Air, America West, American, Continental, Delta, Northwest, Southwest, Skywest, TWA, United, and United Shuttle. International visitors should also consider flying into San Francisco International Airport were you can easily drive to the Lake Tahoe, Western and Eastern High Sierra with 3.5 and 5.5 hours depending on road conditions.

International visitors may also want to consider flying into Las Vegas or Los Angeles International Airport but this will require approximately 300 miles of driving on mostly state routes—Highway 95 north, State Route 266 west, and State Route 168 west to US 395 north to access the Eastern Sierra and Interstate 5 to access the Western Sierra.
